“Can you sell this helicopter?”
It’s the question I’m asked most often and it’s the one that changed everything for me. With a tad bit of youthful stupidity and not wanting to say, “no,” I told myself that selling will be no problem. Boy, was I wrong!
Over the next few months, I want to tell you what it takes to sell a helicopter. This blog centers around my eagerness to agree to sell my friend’s R44 Raven II three years ago. The whole experience was a disaster, but I learned a ton. Now I’m excited to share some secrets on how we went from near disaster to help people sell or acquire over 50 machines.
Our internal joke is: “Our process to sell a helicopter is a simple 76 steps.” We know this because, over the last three years, we’ve developed these steps to ensure a smooth selling experience. In the coming months, I will share my first sales attempts and tie the hard lessons into a meaningful blog to add value to all private sellers.
I can’t share all 76 steps; however, I plan to highlight areas within the helicopter sales process that can negatively affect your helicopter sale.
Remember, only 76 steps are standing between you and selling your helicopter. Through this blog, you’ll find helpful information to get you through the process.
